BTS's Life Goes On tops the US charts
(Seoul) K-pop Kings BTS became the first group in the world to feature a foreign-language song at the top of the benchmark US album sales chart, the Billboard.
This is the first time that a song in a foreign language has topped this ranking since its creation 62 years ago.
BTS (short for Bangtan Sonyeondan, which means "bulletproof boy scouts") has grown into one of the largest groups on the planet in seven years, generating billions of dollars in revenue for the South Korean economy.
K-pop stars BTS topping US charts with Korean song, feat
Nothing seems to stop the seven boys of Korean boy band BTS, which has flown from success to success and has brought America to its feet. Latest feat: to raise to the top of the American charts a song sung mainly in Korean.
By August, they had become the first all-South Korean group to top the charts in the United States with their new piece Dynamite.
In August, the kings of K-Pop BTS had hooked their title Dynamite to the top of the American charts, becoming the first 100% Korean group to achieve this feat. But the Korean boy band sang this song entirely in English.
This time, they go even stronger: BTS's Seven Pretty Hearts managed to hoist their latest title Life Goes On to the top of the U.S. Top 100 a week after its release, while it is sung mostly in Korean (despite its title in English).
The worldwide success of this "boy band" is testament to the growing appeal of South Korean popular culture in the United States, following the triumph in February at the last Oscars of Bong Joon-ho's film Parasite.
Dynamite, which was entirely in English, is still in third place in the top 100 which also features five other BTS titles.
Life Goes On is the band's third track to hit number 1, after Dynamite and their remix of Savage Love by Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo.
The band achieved this feat "faster than any band since the Beatles," Billboard said.In 1964, the British group had achieved this performance in just over two months with the tracks Want to Hold Your Hand, She Loves You and Can’t Buy Me Love.
Ok, would you like to listen to the soundtrack of the month? So, let's go: we get out of our sofa, we don't stop dancing, and we throw ourselves in the air ... of time

Hold a glass of this eco-friendly ice-tea and focus on these three letters: B T S.
This South Korean K-Pop group is conquering the world over and over again. So, ok maybe not yours, not yet ... But I guarantee you that if you take the time to listen to the first bars of DYNAMITE, title released on August 21, it is very likely that like their 20 million subscribers, you start a dance of joy in your living room. Watch out for your iced tea, however.
Girls scream, boys envy them, old people don't understand them, but young people all believe in them. Much like the Beatles, this group of seven bowl cut young men has been unleashing crowds for several years.
101 million views in less than 24 hours: some people have to believe that confinement is successful.
BTS sings to us: "Ladies and gentlemen, I got the medicine so you should keep ya eyes on the ball, huh" ... suddenly, they do not hesitate to keep us informed ... Dyn-nnn-na -na-na, life is dynamite ...
So give me a drink, turn up the volume, I feel like playing around. Cheers !
